Belousov Agro Park
Master plan for a dairy complex in the Leningrad region, part of the Family Capital integration.
2,400 cowsWe design and start up farms on the Israeli model of intensive dairying, and we upgrade and audit existing ones.
A 2,000-cow farm produces about 18,000 t of milk a year, or 50 t a day.
Half the calves are born bulls, about 1,000 head a year. We do not sell the bull calves born on the farm for next to nothing; we fatten them ourselves. On our own feedlot they reach 500 kg live weight in 13 months, so the farm adds about 500 t of beef a year.
We build the herd from Holstein in-calf heifers sourced in Europe and Canada, each selected on health, genetics and parent records. After that the herd grows through its own reproduction.
